Sarawak Research Society (SRS) is committed to research that advances knowledge and makes practical contribution to management practice and/or policy development in Sarawak. SRS aims to provide academics, researchers and practitioners a platform to interact and move forward. It also aims to afford budding researchers and managers opportunities to network with academics and practitioners in their areas. SRS seeks to improve the quality of research in the state and create an avenue for inter-disciplinary studies so as to bring together researchers and practitioners from various disciplines and industries.


  • To foster research collaboration and to promote members’ research development.
  • To provide support to academics and research students in pursuing research excellence.
  • To advance knowledge in academia and transfer knowledge to relevant industries as well as for development of relevant policies for the state.
  • To disseminate research findings and ensure that research results and implications are available in formats that target the needs of different audiences.

Core Values

We, the committee members, uphold trust among the members, teamwork, humility and integrity in our relationship. We prioritize collective benefit and make joint decision as a unit regardless of our positions in SRS or professions. Despite being newly established, we maintain professionalism and uprightness to the best of our ability to demonstrate our genuineness and commitment to the ordinary members, individuals in academia and various industries and the society at large.
