RESPONSIBLE YOUTH LEADER SEMINAR
Theme: Empowering Youth Towards Responsible Citizenship and Tourism

This seminar is to provide an educational and practical guidance about responsible leadership to university and college students in Kuching (and Sarawak) who are interested in tourism and hospitality. There will be speeches about leadership and responsible citizenship and tourism from academics and practitioners, discussions to demonstrate different types of skills and knowledge as well as activities to put them into practice.

These knowledge and skills will prepare students to be responsible leaders and citizens particularly in tourism and the related ventures. There will be no fee! However, registration is required and seats are limited to 50 students (subject to evaluation and approval by the committee).

2020 International Postgraduate Symposium in Tourism and Hospitality

We are delighted to invite you to join the virtual 2020 International Postgraduate Symposium in Tourism and Hospitality (IPSTH2020) on 20-21 November 2020. IPSTH2020 is co-hosted by the International Master’s Program of Tourism and Hospitality (National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, Taiwan) and the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (UCSI University, Malaysia). It is supported by Emerald Publishing (East Asia), Sarawak Research Society and other international partners.

With the theme of “Tourism Restart and Recovery: Responsibility Today, Sustainability Tomorrow”, the symposium is aimed to provide an avenue for postgraduate students from all over the world to share and showcase their research works related to tourism and hospitality. A pre-symposium workshop on thesis management facilitated by a renowned trainer will be held on 20 November 2020 to provide assistance to postgraduate students in writing their thesis. Moreover, a tourism forum will be held on 21 November 2020, where five distinguished experts will share their thoughts about tourism and hospitality in the contemporary environment. Furthermore, 3MT and 5MT presentation will challenge postgraduate students to present a condensed form of their research works and offer them publication opportunities in SSCI and SCOPUS indexed journals.

Registration is mandatory for all delegates, including the presenting and non-presenting ones. Please note that only postgraduate students are eligible for thesis management workshop and 3MT/5MT presentation. Registration is open and will be closed on 23 October 2020.
