ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORTATION

All participants need to arrange your own accommodation and transportation. We encourage the participants to stay at Hilton Kuching as this is where the symposium will be held. Nevertheless, there are plenty of four-star hotels and budget hotels around the area within walking distance. Hilton Kuching is in the town area surrounded by some interesting tourist sites. Please contact Hilton Kuching directly and make reference to SASEM2017 in order to get special room rates. For government officers (including academic staffs from public universities) in Malaysia, government rates are applicable.

There are taxis at the airport and you just have to tell the driver you wish to go to Hilton Kuching. The taxi fare should be ranged from MYR25 to MYR35 (less than USD10) and it takes about 20 minutes to reach the hotel, subject to traffic condition. The participants can also arrange transportation to airport and other places at the hotel receptionists.
