About ICRTH 2026
Sarawak Research Society (SRS) together with Curtin University Malaysia and Responsible Borneo (REBORN) will organize ICRTH 2026 in Miri, Sarawak. With the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, Malaysia, UN Tourism and other local and global bodies, the conference will carry the theme: “Digital Innovations and Human Interactions for Meaningful Impacts through Responsible Tourism.”
ICRTH 2026 brings together tourism professionals from both public and private sectors, academics, scholars, associations and communities to facilitate discussions on responsible tourism as a vehicle to drive sustainable development and meaningful impacts. It also aims to build networks and partnerships with diverse expertise and sectors using tourism and hospitality as a means, such as business management, cultural heritage preservation, environmental studies and sustainable design.

6 July 2026 (Mon), for pre-conference workshops (optional)
7 – 9 July 2026 (Tue – Thu), for conference, excursion and networking dinner
10 – 11 July 2026 (Fri – Sat), for responsible tourism fieldwork (optional)
